What HydraFacial is

HydraFacial is a device-based facial combining cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and the application of hydrating products. The sequence is intended to address surface care rather than add facial volume or alter muscle activity. Your skin's current condition and the selected service determine the products and components used. A treatment name should not be taken to mean that every visit is identical.

A facial may help with the appearance of dullness, surface congestion or dehydration, but results vary. It does not remove every pigmentation concern, erase scars, lift loose skin or replace assessment of a persistent skin condition. If a concern is new, painful, changing or not clearly cosmetic, discuss whether medical evaluation is needed before a facial.

Botanica offers regular HydraFacial and Platinum HydraFacial. Platinum includes lymphatic drainage, a booster, LED, and Eye & Lip Perk. Those components are not automatically included in every HydraFacial service. Ask which service you are booking and what the proposed products and steps include, rather than assuming the name covers all available options.

Who it may suit, and when to wait

HydraFacial may be discussed by someone seeking professional surface skincare who understands that sensitivity and temporary irritation can occur. Assessment should cover the concern you want to address, your existing routine and how your skin reacts to exfoliation or new products. A facial does not have to feel intense to be worthwhile, and stronger treatment is not automatically appropriate.

Tell the team about allergies, reactive skin, eczema or rosacea symptoms, acne medication, recent peeling or device treatments and any current irritation. Active infection, open or damaged skin, a recent procedure or certain products may mean waiting or modifying the plan. Product ingredients matter, so identify a previous reaction as specifically as you can.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, mention it so ingredients and optional components can be assessed individually. Do not assume that a non-injectable facial makes every serum or device setting appropriate. Do not stop prescribed skin medication based on a general preparation list; ask the prescribing clinician and treating team how to coordinate your care.

Before treatment

A considered decision

A facial is skincare, not a promise of flawless skin.

  • Cleansing, extraction and hydration may be useful parts of a routine, but a single visit cannot guarantee a change in every pore, line or pigment concern. Discuss what is realistic for your skin and what needs a different assessment.

  • Many people can return to their usual activities after a facial, but redness, sensitivity or irritation may occur. Recovery is individual. Planning should allow for your response rather than promise that an event will be unaffected.

Pricing and choosing a service

Botanica lists HydraFacial from $195 and Platinum HydraFacial at $395. These prices apply to the named services. Your selected service and total are confirmed before treatment. Ask what is included, which optional components are being considered and whether your skin needs a simpler approach.

Platinum includes lymphatic drainage, a booster, LED, and Eye & Lip Perk. The appropriate configuration still depends on assessment. A higher-priced service does not guarantee a stronger result or mean every optional element suits every person. Discuss your goal, tolerance and budget rather than selecting a tier solely because it has more steps.

Facials, HydraFacials and skin analysis can be booked directly. You can use the general Boulevard booking link and discuss the service with the team. If a separate new-client consultation is proposed, the consultation fee and deposit information should be clear before payment. Direct booking does not remove the need to review your skin and products before proceeding.

What to expect, step by step

  1. Skin and history review. Explain your goals, current products, medicines, allergies and recent procedures. The team checks for irritation or factors that may require changing or postponing the service. Tell them about an event or travel date without assuming the facial will produce a specific appearance by then.

  2. Confirm the service. Review the selected treatment, ingredients, optional components and cost. Ask which parts are included in regular or Platinum care and why they are appropriate for your skin. You can request clarification or decline a proposed element before treatment begins.

  3. Cleanse and exfoliate. Surface cleansing and exfoliation prepare the skin for the agreed sequence. The feel depends on the products and settings used. Report stinging, discomfort or an unexpected reaction rather than assuming that stronger sensation is necessary for an effect.

  4. Extract and hydrate. The device-based process combines extraction with the application of products for the chosen service. Sensation may include suction or a wet gliding feel. The treatment should follow your skin's response rather than a fixed expectation that all congestion must be removed.

  5. Finish and aftercare. Discuss the products applied, sun protection and when to restart your usual routine. Optional steps depend on the selected tier and assessment. Before leaving, know how to ask about persistent redness, irritation or another unexpected change.

Downtime, day by day

Treatment day
Some people return to normal activities, while others notice redness, tightness or sensitivity. The response depends on the skin, products and treatment intensity, so an unrestricted recovery is not promised.
Following days
Follow the recommended gentle routine and avoid adding irritating products. If the skin remains uncomfortable or redness worsens rather than easing, contact the treating team for advice.
Review period
Discuss persistent concerns and whether the current routine needs adjustment. A perceived short-term glow is not proof that an underlying skin condition has been treated or that repeated sessions are necessary.

This outline is general, not a recovery guarantee. Ask how to time the service around other procedures, an event or your prescribed skincare so the plan reflects your actual skin rather than a generic calendar.

Risks and informed consent

Possible effects include temporary redness, irritation, tenderness, dryness and sensitivity to products. Exfoliation or suction may be unsuitable for some skin states, and allergic reactions can occur. Optional products, boosters or device components can have different precautions. Ask for the relevant information for the service being proposed rather than relying on a blanket description.

Active skin conditions and recent treatments can alter tolerance. A product that previously felt comfortable at home may behave differently when combined with professional exfoliation. Tell the team if you feel excessive stinging, pain, warmth or discomfort during treatment. There is no need to endure an unexpected sensation in pursuit of an assumed stronger result.

Contact the team for worsening redness, blistering, significant swelling, persistent pain or signs of infection. Severe allergic symptoms such as difficulty breathing require urgent medical attention. The fact that a facial does not involve filler or tox does not mean it is appropriate for every skin condition or that a reaction cannot happen.

Aftercare and planning your routine

Follow the instructions for the products and components used. A gentle routine and sun protection may be recommended. Ask when to resume retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs or other active products. Avoid adding several new products at once while your skin is sensitive, and do not use an online routine to override individual advice.

Tell the team about any planned peel, microneedling, laser or injectable visit. Spacing depends on the procedures and your skin; there is no universal waiting period. If you are using prescribed skincare, coordinate changes with the prescribing clinician rather than stopping it on your own.

Professional facials can be one part of a routine, but frequency should follow your goals, tolerance and ongoing skin assessment. A monthly plan is not automatically necessary, and buying a more elaborate tier does not promise a longer-lasting effect. Review how your skin responds and whether home care or another assessment would be more appropriate before repeating treatment.

Who performs your treatment

Care at Botanica Beauty Studio is provided by licensed nurse practitioners under physician medical direction. Your consultation is a conversation with a licensed provider, not a promise that a particular procedure will be appropriate. Assessment, informed consent and the decision to proceed remain individual medical decisions.

Ask who will carry out your treatment, what experience they have with the specific area, and how you can reach the team afterward. A provider should explain the proposed product or device, its intended use, relevant limitations and the alternatives. You do not need to commit while questions remain unanswered. This guide is general information, not a substitute for an examination or individualized medical advice.

Serving Bellevue and the Eastside

Botanica Beauty Studio is at 12611 Northup Way Suite 220, Bellevue, WA. The studio is open seven days, 10am to 6pm. If you are coming from Kirkland, Redmond, Medina, Mercer Island or Seattle, plan your visit around the assessment and any recovery instructions rather than assuming treatment will happen immediately.

Bring a list of medications, supplements, allergies and previous cosmetic procedures. Mention an upcoming event or travel so your provider can discuss timing without promising that swelling, redness or a treatment response will follow a particular schedule. For location questions, call (425) 543-6060. Book through Boulevard to discuss your goals and candidacy; a consultation may also conclude that treatment should be postponed or not performed.

Questions

HydraFacial, answered

How much is HydraFacial in Bellevue?

Botanica lists HydraFacial from $195 and Platinum HydraFacial at $395. The selected service, components and total are confirmed before treatment; no result is promised by choosing a tier.

What is included in Platinum HydraFacial?

Platinum includes lymphatic drainage, a booster, LED, and Eye & Lip Perk. Ask which components are appropriate for your skin; they are not automatically included in every regular HydraFacial service.

Do I need a separate consultation first?

Facials, HydraFacials and skin analysis can be booked directly. Skin assessment still matters before treatment, and the team may modify or postpone a service if needed.

Is recovery always immediate?

No particular recovery is guaranteed. Many people can resume usual activities, but redness, sensitivity or irritation can occur. Discuss your skin and event timing with the treating team.

Can HydraFacial treat every acne or pigmentation concern?

A facial may help selected surface concerns but does not diagnose or resolve every skin condition. Persistent, painful or changing concerns may need a medical assessment rather than more exfoliation.

What should I tell the team before treatment?

Describe allergies, reactive skin, current products and medicines, recent procedures and any infection or irritation. Ingredients and optional components should be assessed individually.

Can I use retinoids or acids afterward?

Ask for instructions specific to your skin and treatment. Do not resume irritating actives or stop prescribed skincare based on a general internet schedule; coordinate changes with the relevant clinician.

Can I have HydraFacial while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Mention this before booking or treatment so ingredients and optional components can be evaluated individually. The non-injectable nature of a facial does not establish that every product is appropriate.

What symptoms after a facial should I report?

Worsening redness, blistering, significant swelling, persistent pain or signs of infection should be assessed. Severe allergic symptoms such as breathing difficulty require urgent medical attention.

How often should I book another facial?

Frequency depends on your skin, goals, tolerance and routine. A regular schedule is not automatically necessary, and repeating treatment does not guarantee a particular long-term change.
